Hi again, I really hate asking for more money bc literally who isn’t fucking struggling right now. But first I want to thank everyone who donated to us last month, it got us through for a bit, but we’re still really struggling right now. My dad’s unemployment is going to stop soon and I don’t know when that is (sometime between now and March I think). We need between $300-$600 to pay utilities and keep our car registered and insured. We’ve also been hand washing our laundry for about a year now in our sink and it actually takes a toll on our bodies. We don’t have a laundromat near us and the cheapest washing machine-esque thing I can find is $99. the washing machine is not a priority but our bills are. Ya’ll’s generosity has been so incredibly helpful but I’m asking for a little more. If you don’t have anything to donate (which is totally understandable a fine!) then PLEASE REBLOG, DONT JUST LIKE.

When you’re putting your call for submissions on social media, DO NOT only include important information (text) in an image!

This is not accessible to disabled people, it is not accessible on many small screens, and often it’s just plain not readable even under the best circumstances!

Include a text description of your image and the problem is solved. :)

On this blog, I often have to pass up reblogging calls for submissions because there is no image description and the important text is only in the image. I try to keep this blog as accessible as I can. I have ME/CFS and I can’t risk my health to type up everyone’s image text. And I don’t always have the time to message people to ask them to provide transcriptions or tell me what things say when they’re not readable!

If you want to put text in an image, go ahead! Just make sure you also put that text in your post as text.

This goes double for critical and hard-to-guess information like email addresses.
